
Mayu Iwasaki is a Tokyo-born, Sydney-based award-winning actor working internationally across film, television, and theatre.

Bilingual in Japanese and English, she trained at the Atlantic Theatre Conservatory and with SITI Company in New York. Her performances are recognised for their emotional range, restraint, and quiet intensity, drawing audiences deeply into her characters’ inner lives.

The daughter of a puppeteer, Mayu’s work is informed by an early immersion in visual storytelling and embodied performance. In addition to her screen work, she is the founder of Omusubi Productions and works as a producer, writer and cultural consultant specialising in Japanese storytelling and cross-cultural projects.
